Drawings pretty good audio Ahhh

I really was hoping for better audio. You need to filter your audio with audacities audio filter a free program that could improve this 100%.

eithmableura12 responds:

Actually I had pretty good audio. I think the music in the background was too fuzzy because I had to record it off YouTube cause I couldn't find a downloadable file...

A really nice study.

I like the fluidity of the skeleton and the semi 3 dimensional perspective. However, I am disappointed with the lack of fluidity in the lines. The lines are choppy and rigid or is that just you messing with my head again Boogley?

TheBoogley responds:

I like the way it flickers and think it enhances the tension, if it was completely smooth I don't think it would be as creepy

You show great potential

I will admit I was confused at the beginning; however, your story was crystal clear in the end. I liked the influence of the eerie Clint Eastwood movies. The music and the clock motif were well implemented. You definitely need to keep on animating just work a bit more on your drawings.

savage011 responds:

thanks for the inspiration, hopefully my drawing will look passable in the future.

Face up to the truth Bowser

All us gingers live with it. So too bad so don't you! I am so glad I got that off my chest. Ginger!!....I know, I know.

Believe it or not nobody has ever called me that but its soo true.

Koolguykai responds:

Hey, thanks for the 10. and just to point out to you cry babies here, some of my friends are gingers. Good friends.

One could complain this is senselessly shameful...

Yet, I was impressed. I got a huge laugh over the Jerry Seinfeld chorus line in the chase seen. You seem to understand parody and are pretty good at it too. I loved the motor-sicle and the pant's battle.

drodZILiA responds:

Haha, thank you. The motorcicle idea actually emerged when we were writing the script and my friend purposely misspelled "motorcycle." But we stuck with it because we found it to be pretty funny.

Fist full of what?

I am a big fan of Eastwood's spaghetti westerns and this is not even close. This reminds me of Shane or any other of the hero in the sunset style movies. It is a decent animation and western but using Eastwood's sound track does not make it a true film a Clint's heart.

KFoxyFox responds:

Hehe yeah, well a guy's got to try :)

Do you really know what a ginger is?

Animation was good but ginger was lame. Ginger is not just a red head. A ginger is a red head with freckles. Your red head does not fit the bill. The joke was funny but get it right. Take it from a real light speckled ginger. Yeah, I am chastising you for messing up... a stereotype that I am true too.

AlmightyHans responds:

fuck off, "red head".

Brilliant story telling

As a kite flyer from my youth, I could net help be captivated by the work that was put into this piece. No, one can complain that you wasted their time with such a beautifully playful piece. I loved the use of light and the texture of the kite.

One note, at least from my experience with kites they won't fly if they are full of holes. On the other hand, I could believe you actually played with paper or studied its movement before you did this since it looks exceptionally realistic.

Thanks for the short and I hope to see many more!

Pierson responds:

I'm glad a former kite flyer enjoyed it! Thanks so much for commenting and for watching! really means alot!

A beautiful song with a boy and his dad!

I will say the animation was not exactly at its prime but you were visually entertaining. I wish you had animated that last pieces or has the two on video. I actually liked the making of it heard in the audio better than the song. This reminds me of Raffi and Rick Cherette. Thanks for something incredibly childlike back on Newgrounds. Tell your singer good luck.

RicePirate responds:

Awww, and thanks. Dave (the song writer) initially wanted me to animate the last part too ... but the party is tomorrow, and I've got too much work to catch up on before I head out. But we may still animate it yet!

Communist Critiques on Newgrounds

I love it when people think they can do a better job or the animation in the world has to somehow mean something. It is random and quite surreal in nature. I love the simple aspect of the drawings and the interaction of characters. The animation is candid and shows the influence of uncensored under appreciated British Animation (I know you are from Australia). You don't let the academy put chains on your work whatsoever.
Your work is so imaginative its scary. Yet, I think that is why I love it so much!

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks man, I've got a British Passport so that's okay. GOD SHAVE THE QUEEN 8O

I have a great deal of experiance with video, animation and am a software engineer by hobby. I also have helped 6th graders in an after school program make a 20 minute short and their own animations using Appleworks.
