A loveable story and witty end

I have always liked your style Gary. The thing I like the most is that this can come from only one mind. You truly are blessed with more talent then you realize. I hope to see new stuff just a witty and funny as Book-Man.

Of course there are many ways to revive a hero but it is only the mastery of Gary Marston that could bring him back.

I liked in this episode how you introduced us to Book-man's secret super power of speed reading. I also like the re-introduction of all your fabulous creations in your Book-man world.

If you ever need a voice or an animator my offer still stands. I would love to help you in a collaboration.

Thanks for an enjoyable series.

Tonio, thank you so much! I would love for you to help me! I am going to start a much more funny and bigger project than book-man.

Lets just hope this survives or I'm fucked!

A twist on predator

I really found this short pretty hilarious. It was well thought out and definitely worked in the predator's attitude and demeanor very well. The graphics look as if this was transfered from video to flash.

One small suggestion move this up to 13+ for mild nudity and adult content. This is not suitable for all audiences.

It was half and half

I was really considering blamming this piece seriously. The beginning really overall was failing. Plus you did one of the parodies already portrayed in another Phoenix Wrong (the Weird Al one.) The second half is where you shined. Don't resort to text it ruins it and especially no customizing the sprites with nose bleeds it really hurt it.

The magic really lies in your ability to compile your material.

Kitsunedai responds:

Alright, thanks for the review. I'll try to improve when, or if, I do a next one.

An effective piece

I will agree this one was much better orchestrated. The first one you had me feeling bad for the giant robot or semi-humanoid but the second one you had me wanting your protagonist to win. The storyline is much better portrayed in this one. I also feel you managed to show bloody damage much more seriously in this one. Yet, I think the blood is a little stylized where in the first one it seemed you made 777 too perfect and indestructible.

Sucio neno de la escuela

Fantastico...ningun palabra necesario. genio. ¡pura genio bastardo!

I just love these

Man, I don't care how little efforts in the sprites you got talent.

Because you certainly keep me laughing from point and play till its calling for a replay!

Murphy1976 responds:

....kinda help when you do this sorta thing for a living, huh...

A well animated piece but misguided message

I really do have a high regard for your work. The characters for the most part at well drawn. You children look a little messed up. I feel your depiction of the Arabic people is one of the most unbiased views I have seen.

Yet, your message which obviously pokes fun at the United States in the Middle East is twisted and conveys a horrible message. The US does care about the people in Iraq. Whether the heads do is immaterial, American soldiers have made casualties of war and that cannot be denied but they are not where the monsters that you depicted in this piece. They are not murderers. Saddam Hussein is not being hung for nothing. He is a modern day Hitler. The US is not committing genocide.

I may not agree with everything my country does but I would never go far enough to say the US is a murderous nation. We are misguided with our relations with the war. Yet, Iraq is in better hands than it was under Hussein.

True to the B

This has to be one of the most true to old school clockcrew as it can get. I was impressed how you created something obviously portal worthy and mixed it with the zany style that made CC infamous.

An argument of the holidays

This was a great play on the Santa theme. I once had a youth pastor explain why he felt Satan and Santa were the same. He went on the fact that he knows when you are sleeping and awake. Yours was much funnier and enjoyable. I agree Christmas has been pretty much ruined in American culture. Christmas is actually a Catholic holiday made important by German immigrants to Pennsylvania. Protestants in the past did not celebrate Christmas because it was on the pagan solstice.

Keep the laughs coming and good luck in your future productions.

PS:Is it true one of you guys is from Maine? Me I am leaving Maine to move to Las Vegas.

rockymike responds:

Luke is originally from Maine. He moved to Pendleton County, WV when he was in High School (which was where we met).

Thanks for the review! It was a little more informative and entertaining than most reviews are. Good luck on the move to Las Vegas and good to hear from you.

A one of a kind animation

I have to say it does strike me a strange and bizarre but I cannot complain with your ability to animate. This is a fantastic use of flash techniques and combination of contemporary 3d animation techniques. The choices of color and shading make this piece one step ahead of the rest.

I have a great deal of experiance with video, animation and am a software engineer by hobby. I also have helped 6th graders in an after school program make a 20 minute short and their own animations using Appleworks.
