Awesome Effect!

Is there any chance you could give me some hints how to do this? I would love to teach this to my after school film club.

Xaroxantu-Zero responds:

Sure! I used the continuous drive function (or burst mode for consumer cameras) to do the shoot. Me and my actress had to move fairly slowly for the camera to capture most of our movements. The higher framerate your camera can capture, the smoother the result. As for the actual animating it's just a series of frames fading out one after another.

Hope this helps!

Fantastic transformations!

I love your fluid control of transformations. Everything seems well planned out! One critique... Loose your room and work on backgrounds. It will improve Your overall effect. You hare the makings of a great claymation artist!

BlakTornado responds:

thank you :)

Well animated...Poorly voiced

I really appreciate your submission and your choice to have a you Odessius. Remember little Telemacus must be born sometime before his father leaves. If you would like a villainous Posedon I would be happy to send you the waves needed to spruce this up. I do a pretty mean villain laugh.

Glomper2000 responds:

I know I didn't include Telemachus. I planned to, but I just didn't have the time to do what I wanted with this... Like the voice acting. Yes I am well aware it sucks... But I had to do it all myself and I am definately not a voice actor. Thank you though.

Dirty Harry meets animal lover

This was fantastic.

I loved home much of a hypocrite he was. I defender of the weak but and smoker and an urge to kill all things that cause harm priceless. This has the makings of an execellent series. I did not find your style cheesy but inspiring. I hope when I get a chance to jump into it I have as great of a style as you.

Uptown-SlimJim responds:

Nice, I'm an inspiration now. THAT'S going on the tombstone.

Fun and playful

I loved this small piece. It was simple and felt almost real. I could feel the lamb's want to be played with.

Madelief responds:

Thank you very much for your review!

Cheech and chong good ole days

I thought you were just trying to replicate cartman's J-LO tribute but this was great. I am an old fan of cheech and chong so this was great. Your animation style is very sweet. If you are having trouble with a mic, putting some type of filter over the microphone like a thin wire mesh to help cut down on interferance and voice modulation.

RadRacer responds:

hey, thanks for the tip . . . I've heard that somewhere else so I'll try it out. I absolutely love cheech and chong, thinking about doing another cartoon about them actually. But hopefully they'll get back together for 1 last movie and I wont have to :)

Nice backgrounds and mood creation

I really felt the rabbit was scared. Your changes in color help to really create emotions of anger. anticipation and fear. Did you use Art Rage for your backgrounds?

Blueled responds:

noppers! all was done in flash! thank ya!

Mortifyingly captivating

As a studier of culture and the play of death in the scheme of life, I was really taken by this piece. It reminds me with Mexican fascination of death and the many love stories that ended with death. It does not feel sorrowful at all which intigues me even more.

It makes me think of the resurective archtypes in western culture.

Fantastic work!

Wow Im so glad You Liked it!! I appreceate Your great comments and the 10!!! Thanx!!

Honorably respectable

Your interpretation was commendable. Simple but strong and well thought out. A flash film patriots would be proud of.

Zestos responds:

Thank-you. I'm glad that you liked it. I know its simple (like you said), but that's the effect I was aiming for.

Amateur but more professional

I have to say Hour creations were more thought out. I found the urinating a little weird. The long fling w/ the magician could have been a little less obnoxious. Also more movement from your characters and have them face us. Try watching some theatre acting to get Some ideas of stages acting.

ClayWay responds:

thanks for the tips.*winks*

I have a great deal of experiance with video, animation and am a software engineer by hobby. I also have helped 6th graders in an after school program make a 20 minute short and their own animations using Appleworks.
