Great character development

I have to say sometimes the clockcrew really recruits some great flash artists and you my friend are one of them. I loved this piece. It both opitimizes the clock culture and gives us a character that many will love to continue to watch. I like how pissed off he seems. He is like a dirty Harry of the clockcrew.

Don't let the other members of NG keep you down you are an excellent animator. B

AmericaClock responds:

B! Yay thanks for the positive review. Trying my hardest to get better at flash, thanks for cheerin me on.

I for one have been a fan of your fine work Tim

This was random and satisfying in its own right. It may lack a point or a ryhmn of reason but I like your mixture of comedy and rye humor. I especially like the gratuituous sign next to the assasin turtle.

I have to ask which Mexican actor is he supposed to be Jorge Negret, Vincent Fernando? I love this guy!

Jewelltoons responds:

The prince? thats vincent price (amazing actor)

I had to check on this

C'mon, you made me have to check the internet and this is just pretty sad to here the dingo finally kicked the bucket. This was hard to believe because this has not yet hit the google search besides a bunch of spoofs on him being dead by numerous venomous snakes etc.

Da-VinciClock responds:

It's actually quite amazing he hasn't died yet.But then of all things, a non-fatal animal comes along and kills him! >:(

Nice job your friend should love it

I really loved this piece. It showed that even rushed people can make a decent flash. I don't care what others say what does one expect of kids who are only 13. The voice to me actually was funny and reminded me of Junior from those wacky NGs shorts.

I don't think this is that bad so I hope your pal loves this.

Happy Birthday Hermi!

Mini-Speed1 responds:

Thank you^^ glad you liked the movie and my friend loved it too^^ He actually said thanks to you for saying Happy birthday Hermi^^

Really well made to be noobi

I really felt this piece really helps make your point about newbies get put into perspective. It may be random but the elements all in one help to make this piece somewhat hilariously done. This is just a nice piece of newbi intended work!

ATTN-Whore responds:

Err..um...Thanks...I guess...

There was some merit

I actually was a little disapointed. In my opinion, strawberry's head banging would have shined if his strawberry to moved with it. I felt the guitars were by far the most in sync with the beat so good job on that but this piece could have been better. I thank you for not doing the stereotypical CC spam.

Needs work but not bad.

Metal-Sun responds:

yeh... im not good at back rounds when i make the METAL BAND collab i will put a backround this was to see if people would lie the idea

Man you have come a long way

I have to say your style of transformations are unique and inspiring. I studied at art college with sadly one course in after effects animation and boy do I feel jipped. It goes to show that if you want to learn something sometimes you have to do it on your own. Its cool to see a fellow Mainer at the scope of fine art animation and you are only 17!

I have been bitten by the animation bug but I feel my work will be a long way down the road. A few questions I noticed you used a mini-dv camera. Does it have a camera mode or do use a program to take your snaps. I have a good digital camera but for stills my Mini-DV cam is about 3-4 years old and takes terrible stills. Also is there a book I can get on the wire-framing of claymation characters or a website with some tutorials. I love doing animations stuff like this with my students. I work in Gray, Maine teaching middleschoolers about animation and video so I would love to teach them about your work. It would definitely inspire them!

Thanks for showcasing your work on Newgrounds.

MackProductions responds:

Thanks a lot for the review! Haha thats awesome you're a Mainer as well, and it's great you're teaching students about the video and animation world.

I use my Mini-DV camcorder connected to my computer and the frame capture program, Monkeyjam, to capture frames. The camera is used as a live feed basically, and you capture the frames with the computer.
A good book would be Stop Motion: Craft Skills for Model Animation. Also the site animateclay.com is extremely useful.

hope this helps, and thanks!

About what I expect for 14-16 year olds

This was not bad considering your ages and the time constraint you guys put yourself through. I liked the randomness of the pieces. My only suggestion would be to give yourself perhaps 3 days next time to allow your work to gain power and quality. As my old art teacher said, its quality not quantity.

Winadollar responds:

Thanks Man We're Going to Make a Sequal and Each of us is going to take a weeek

Nobody Disses SBC or his B

LOL this was hilarious. It would take a geek not to find SBC funny. Thanks for a well deserved laugh.

OvenGloves responds:

no prob mang

Hey you can't kill SBC

That's right...Bang, Bang, Bang.

Rupee I almost died laughing as SBC complained. You truly know how to inspire an excellent laugh.

I have to say seeing SBC whine about things has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen.

And again Happy Birthday Pirate Clock!

RupeeClock responds:

Haha, indeed, if you can't kill SBC, surely you can make him suffer.
Immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be!

I have a great deal of experiance with video, animation and am a software engineer by hobby. I also have helped 6th graders in an after school program make a 20 minute short and their own animations using Appleworks.
