That will teach doper wanna bees to keep off drugs

I found your style and direction very well mastered. The screaming was a bit obnoxious I will admit but it added to erieness and the idea that she was on an acid trip. This is majorly wacked but in a good way.

A sad story with a violent twist

Your validation for the spiders actions okay but most stories that end like this have the main character disappointed in his actions. We see no remorse in the main character at all. He is not even left lonely.

The animation of his anger is well chosen with a frame by frame feel you style of the emotion of anger verses his somber beginning are well contrast. We have no question the main character is no longer the sweet meloncoly character we thought you introduced us too. Your techniques are mature and enlightning but the ending shies from reality and the character you first introduced us too. That's my opinion but you are the director.

Overall very nice work.

Man you have come a long way

I have to say your style of transformations are unique and inspiring. I studied at art college with sadly one course in after effects animation and boy do I feel jipped. It goes to show that if you want to learn something sometimes you have to do it on your own. Its cool to see a fellow Mainer at the scope of fine art animation and you are only 17!

I have been bitten by the animation bug but I feel my work will be a long way down the road. A few questions I noticed you used a mini-dv camera. Does it have a camera mode or do use a program to take your snaps. I have a good digital camera but for stills my Mini-DV cam is about 3-4 years old and takes terrible stills. Also is there a book I can get on the wire-framing of claymation characters or a website with some tutorials. I love doing animations stuff like this with my students. I work in Gray, Maine teaching middleschoolers about animation and video so I would love to teach them about your work. It would definitely inspire them!

Thanks for showcasing your work on Newgrounds.

MackProductions responds:

Thanks a lot for the review! Haha thats awesome you're a Mainer as well, and it's great you're teaching students about the video and animation world.

I use my Mini-DV camcorder connected to my computer and the frame capture program, Monkeyjam, to capture frames. The camera is used as a live feed basically, and you capture the frames with the computer.
A good book would be Stop Motion: Craft Skills for Model Animation. Also the site animateclay.com is extremely useful.

hope this helps, and thanks!

About what I expect for 14-16 year olds

This was not bad considering your ages and the time constraint you guys put yourself through. I liked the randomness of the pieces. My only suggestion would be to give yourself perhaps 3 days next time to allow your work to gain power and quality. As my old art teacher said, its quality not quantity.

Winadollar responds:

Thanks Man We're Going to Make a Sequal and Each of us is going to take a weeek

The effort is there

I thought this was somewhat decent yet the use of the f-bomb did not add to this piece. You guys are still young and I understand you're at that age but f-bombing the way you guys are really loses the edge of it. It can be used less and get the same effect.

Your clock face can easily swapsides without that lousy 2d effect by key framing just before you swap and the next key frame is the opposite direct does not get that 2d paper mario effect and makes it look more as if the face it turning. Overall the complaining was kind of funny but the language took away from the piece.

whola whola whola Bomb!

I have to say this brings back memories of Spanish. The truth is I am uncertain why there is not a disorder for learning a language. There is dyslexia(inability to read), dysgraphia(handwriting), dyslengua (which is for those who have trouble with their own langauge). I remember being in Spanish 5 and seeing people still pronouncing ellos-elos instead of ay-yos. I does not matter how good a program it totally depends on the individual!

Nobody Disses SBC or his B

LOL this was hilarious. It would take a geek not to find SBC funny. Thanks for a well deserved laugh.

OvenGloves responds:

no prob mang

Hey you can't kill SBC

That's right...Bang, Bang, Bang.

Rupee I almost died laughing as SBC complained. You truly know how to inspire an excellent laugh.

I have to say seeing SBC whine about things has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen.

And again Happy Birthday Pirate Clock!

RupeeClock responds:

Haha, indeed, if you can't kill SBC, surely you can make him suffer.
Immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be!

A little change never hurt

I thought this was a nice change from the norm of inside a guys mouth we are so used to by now. I loved your use of camera angles, pans, and dolly shots. This piece was crisp and well directed. A few places could have used a bit more lip sync-ing. Yet, I am not complaining. We folks who love will probably continue if you surprise with something new more often.

Great Job Logo!

Could there B a more perfect combination

Tankmen, Clocks, and Locks...woo-who...NG culture at its max on overdrive.

This piece was so funny. I loved SBC in this piece he was so himself and rediculously awesome!

I have a great deal of experiance with video, animation and am a software engineer by hobby. I also have helped 6th graders in an after school program make a 20 minute short and their own animations using Appleworks.
